Lawyers from the Thomas More Society, a nonprofit religious liberty organization, praised the district for its position, and described a locker room as significantly different from, for instance, a bathroom with stalls. The Education Department, they said, seemed to take a hard line. – Article

A Virginia boy is suing the Gloucester Country School Board because of a policy that requires boys to use the boy’s room or a unisex bathroom. Sixteen year old Gavin Grimm says this violates his rights under a 1972 federal law banning sex discrimination in education. – Article

Let’s see: “no fault” divorce, abortion, homosexual “marriage,” trafficking in human baby “parts,” experimenting on human embryos, legalized drugs, prostitution, etc. Just another day in the “land of the free, and the home of the brave,” right?

China’s state news agency has reported that the communist country will move to a two-child policy for all couples, “abandoning its decades-long one-child policy.” A leading critic of the human rights abuses associated with the one-child policy warned, however, that characterizing this latest modification as “abandoning” the one-child policy is misleading. “A two-child policy will not end any of the human rights abuses caused by the One Child Policy, including forced abortion, involuntary sterilization or the sex-selective abortion of baby girls,” said Reggie Littlejohn of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers. Louis and Zélie Martin, the French married couple and parents of the “greatest saint of modern times,” were canonized in St. Peter’s Square. The saintly couple’s relics were carried in procession by the two little children whose lives were miraculously saved through their intercession.
In his homily at the Mass on canonization on Sunday morning, Pope Francis said: “The holy spouses Louis Martin and Marie-Azélie Guérin practiced Christian service in the family, creating day by day an environment of faith and love which nurtured the vocations of their daughters, among whom was Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus.” Aletia.org
