Dobson: Electing Trump “would unleash Christians to fight for their beliefs”.

“I do recall he (Trump) said it was an outrage that Christians have been deprived of their rights to speak openly on behalf of the values and principles in which they believe,” Dobson wrote. “He was especially exercised by an amendment added to tax code legislation in 1954 by then-Sen. Lyndon Johnson. “Jerry Falwell, Jr., said Johnson had rammed this amendment through Congress without public scrutiny. It seriously limited freedom of religion, especially religious speech, by leaders of churches and non-profit organizations. The Johnson amendment contained language that prohibited the faith community from expressing their opinions about political parties and those seeking power,” Dobson recalled.

“That law plagues us to this day. Trump rightly condemned the legislation, which muzzled those of us who would otherwise use our influence to support our beliefs. He called that provision ‘unfair,’ and promised to overturn it if he is elected.”

Dobson wrote, “That would have a great impact on Washington because it would unleash Christian activists to fight for their beliefs.”

The Obama administration has a history of referring to “freedom of worship” instead of “freedom of religion,” as the Bill of Rights state.

Catholic Online noted that in President Obama’s June 2009 speech in Cairo, Egypt, he spoke of a Muslim America and the nation’s “freedom of religion,” but by the November 2009 memorial for the Fort Hood soldiers gunned down by a homicidal Muslim, he was terming it “freedom of worship.” From that point, “freedom of worship” has become the term of choice, the report said.

Mother Teresa Schools Us about Abortion

Mother Teresa Abortion is a Rejection of Jesus! “But I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because Jesus said, ‘If you receive a little child, you receive me.’ So every abortion is the denial of receiving Jesus, the neglect of receiving Jesus.” Full Article at Catholicworldreport.com

“I have said often, and I am sure of it, that the greatest destroyer of peace in the world today is abortion. If a mother can kill her own child, what is there to stop you and me from killing each other? The only one who has the right to take life is the One who has created it. Nobody else has that right: not conference, no government. Full Article at Ewtn.com

DNC Platform Mentioned Abortion 19 times

The DNC decided to showcase abortion as a moral good. They nominated Hillary Clinton for president, a candidate who could only be more pro-abortion if she performed the procedure herself. The Democratic Party, which once had room for some who weren’t so sure abortion was a good thing, now has fully embraced the culture of death and is pushing out almost everyone who dares to disagree. In 1996, their platform mentioned abortion one time. This year’s platform mentioned it 19 times. The Democratic Party has stopped calling for abortion to “safe, legal and rare.” The platform also calls for abortion to remain legal all 9 months of pregnancy. It doesn’t mention support of even the most basic safety standards for women seeking abortions.

My hope for the party is that the Democrats who are committed to the pro-life cause can impact their platform and candidates in the future. My fear is that history will only be able to judge the Democratic Party and lament its celebration of death over life. David Kilada is the ORTL deputy political director.

California Cities Threaten Pro Life Pregnancy Centers

Two of the most crime-ridden places in the state of California, threaten legal action against pro-life pregnancy help organizations if they fail to comply with a new state regulation “Reproductive FACT Act”. Full Article at Pregnancy Help News

This new regulation “Reproductive FACT Act” requires nonprofit pregnancy help centers to advertise the availability of government abortion services by posting a public notice: “California has public programs that provide immediate free or low-cost access to comprehensive family planning services (including all FDA-approved methods of contraception), prenatal care, and abortion for eligible women. To determine whether you qualify, contact the county social services office at [insert the telephone number].”

The so-called “Reproductive FACT Act” was challenged in court with a lawsuit June 14 that pitted the state against counsel representing locally based pregnancy help organizations and their representatives from Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), Pacific Justice Institute and American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).

“The First Amendment protects all Americans, including pro-life people, from being targeted by a government conspiring with pro-abortion activists,” Matt Bowman, Senior Counsel for ADF, said. “The state has no legal right to force others to communicate messages or promote ideas they disagree with, especially on life-and-death issues like abortion. A government that does that threatens everyone’s freedom of speech.

“If you’re a pro-life organization, you’re offering free healthcare to women so the women have a choice other than abortion. It’s a violation of their core beliefs to have to punish them for declining to promote and facilitate abortions.”

The Democratic Convention could be Called a War council.

A war on unborn babies, that is. Democrats have long favored abortion on demand, forced taxpayer funding of abortion, and support for groups like Planned Parenthood that make money killing the unborn.

But this year’s platform is an open declaration of war on the lives of unborn babies. For years, Democrats have tried to mask their support for their most aggressive abortion policies, pretending to a pro-life America that they want abortion to be “rare,” and calling for the funding of abortion by taxpayers, but never directly. National Right to Life

Well, now they’ve dropped the old claim that they wanted abortion to be “rare” (now they just want it to be “legal”). And they’ve bitten the bullet to say specifically and openly that they will get rid of the Hyde Amendment, the annual appropriations amendment that has prevented federal taxpayers from paying for millions of elective abortions

Millions of Americans don’t know this; and don’t know, for example, that this week’s nominees even oppose protecting unborn babies who are so developed that they can feel pain!

That’s right, presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and vice-presidential pick Tim Kaine both oppose the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a bill that would save those babies from unspeakable pain in an abortion.

National Right to Life has informed millions of Americans in past elections where the candidates stand and how they’ve voted, but we can only do that with your help.  Please give generously so we can inform every interested American where the candidates stand.

Because every baby deserves a voice, and every American citizen has a right to know!

Eyewitness Report: Trump Courts Evangelical Leaders

With Trump we have a chance. With Clinton we have no chance. This meeting was not about Trump’s Christian knowledge or virtues, but rather where he wants to take the country. I was one of over 1,000 Christian Leaders “inside the room” for an historic meeting with Donald Trump. Full Story at Pro Life News Flash

 Donald Trump speaks to Evangelicals

Donald Trump speaks to Evangelicals

Christian leaders from all over the U.S. gathered to ask Donald Trump tough, specific questions about his policy and intentions should he be elected President. Event organizers originally requested Dallas, Texas as a central location for this meeting, hoping to attract some 200-300 national Christian leaders. But the only opening on Trump’s schedule was in NYC for 20 minutes, 30 days out. So they took the date.

After opening remarks by conference organizers, Jerry Falwell Jr. spoke, then Franklin Graham. Both attested to the authenticity of Donald Trump. Polling official George Barna presented several charts, showing that Trump has a genuine path to victory if Christians vote. But in the last Presidential election, some 40 million Evangelicals stayed home – literally making the difference in the election.

She was a Pro Life Democrat Nominated for President.

40 Years Ago this week, Democrat Ellen McCormack, pro-life columnist, wife and mother, made Pro Life history when nominated for president of the United States at the Democratic National Convention.  Back then the Democratic Party was more Pro-Life. More at Prolifenewsflash.org

Ellen McCormack: Pro-Life’s Presidential Candidate of 1976

Her goal was to use the presidential campaign as a platform to educate the public on pro-life issues by taking advantage of election rules which required the media to give all candidates equal time. Relying on thousands of grassroots pro-lifers across the country, she managed to raise $5000 in small contributions in 20 states, becoming the first woman in American history to qualify for matching funds. Her campaign was not without some controversy. Her single-issue candidacy annoyed political elites so much that they voted a change in funding rules in the middle of the election.

This past Sunday, (March 2011) longtime pro-life activist Ellen McCormack passed away. Since the pro-life movement often devotes little attention to its own history, her name may be unfamiliar to many young pro-lifers. nationalreview.com

I would love for mothers to realize that life doesn’t end with a (Down syndrome) diagnosis.

Down-syndrome2-285xWe just knew that we were gonna continue on and love her — other than that, we had no support whatsoever,” she said. “The doctor said, ‘I’m sorry,’ and then it was ‘see ya.” nydailynews.com/life-style

A 15-month-old baby with Down syndrome has won hearts around the Web for mailing a letter to the doctor who told her mother to abort her.

Mom Courtney Baker put a picture of smiling little Emersyn Faith holding the note on her Facebook page, which has been shared thousands of times since Down syndrome awareness site Parker Myles also posted the story on Tuesday.

“What I would love is for a mother who is in the process of making that decision whether to keep the baby … to realize that life doesn’t end with a (Down syndrome) diagnosis — it’s just getting started,” Baker, 44, from Sanford, Fla., told The Daily News.

Changing Lives at Vans Warped Tour “Do Human Rights Begin with Brain Waves?”

Changing Lives at Vans Warped Tour

“Honestly I love what you guys are doing. The conversation I had with one of you at Warped (tour) yesterday changed my perspective a lot.”

Working in the pro-life movement we love stories. Stories of saved children, adoption opportunities, and more crop up at every event we work, and getting to take part in those conversations and stories is one of the coolest opportunities I believe I will ever have. “Conversion stories” (instances where we can educate and convert some one from a pro-abortion stance to a pro-life one) are personal favorites for me because of the integral part Rock for Life team members get to take in these conversions.

Working a booth at any event places us in a position of great opportunity to educate others about what it means to be pro-life. This year at Warped Tour we have really seen the value of that position demonstrated in the stories we have collected from festival goers. Not only do we get to educate others and add members to the pro-life family but we get to create a legacy of life by knowing that the people who’s minds are changed are now working beside us promoting and educating others towards a pro-life view.

One example of these conversions is our friend Alissa. On Wednesday June 29th, Alyssa stopped by our tent at the Nashville stop of Vans Warped Tour. For those of you who don’t know, Vans Warped Tour is a mainstream, secular event that draws thousands of young people at every stop, sometimes over 10,000! They allow us to set up a tent to promote the Human Rights for All and Adoption Saves Lives message. Alissa met Bernard (one of our warped tour team members) and they tackled the question “when do human rights begin?” Alissa initially believed that human rights began once brain waves are detectable. After a discussion with our team Alyssa eventually changed her answer to when the baby starts forming, which is day 1!

We are having numerous conversations like this daily. It is amazing!

After changing her perspective she has committed to being a voice for pre-born children be influencing her peers. How awesome is that?

With all this in mind Rock for Life has a current need for team members who are looking to have these conversations and motivate others to be outspoken in there pro-life beliefs. This summer we’d like to add team members to both our warped tour team and our festival tour team. So if you are passionate about being pro-life and ready to take up a vital part in these stories contact us at info@rockforlife.org and we will get you involved. Whether it’s just for one warped tour event or one summer festival, prayer, financial support, or even coming on to tour with us we’d love your help this summer!
