January 23, 2016! Introducing our 12th annual Walk for Life speakers.
We are very excited to announce our speakers for 2016.
First is Jesús Emmanuel Acha Martinez, known everywhere throughout the Spanish-speaking world simply as Emmanuel. Emmanuel came on the music scene in Mexico in the late 1970’s. By the 1980’s he was arguably the country’s biggest star.
Obianuju Ekeocha, founder and president of Culture of Life Africa. Obianuju has advised almost 20 African bishops on women’s and life issues, has met with Pope Francis, and co-authored two declarations with African bishops promoting the gospel of life in Africa.
David Daleiden, one of the young activists who are changing the face of the pro-life movement, David founded the Center for Medical Progress in 2013. In 2015 he shocked the conscience of America with his ongoing series of videos documenting Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in the body parts of aborted children. His exposé provoked members of congress and of state legislatures into ongoing attempts to revoke public funding for the nation’s largest abortionist.
Alveda King, who will be introduced by Fr. Frank Pavone, will lead the opening prayer of the rally. San Francisco’s Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will present Gianna Molla Award to Mother Agnes of the Sisters of Life.

Friday, January 22:
9:00 AM, “YOU 2016” Conference for grades 6-12 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco hosted by the Sisters of Life and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
12:00 PM, 7th annual Standing Up 4 Life Walk will be held at Frank Ogawa Plaza in Oakland.
5:00 PM, Prayer Vigil for Life at St. Dominic’s Church in San Francisco hosted by the Sisters of Life and Mass celebrated by Bishop Thomas Daly.
5:30 PM, the Conversations for Life Dinner will be held at St. Stephen’s Church in Walnut Creek. Special guest Dr. Alveda King.
8:00 PM (until 7 AM Saturday), All-night Adoration for Life will be observed at Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco.
Saturday, January 23:
9:30 AM, Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Archbishop Cordileone and his fellow bishops.
5:00 PM, Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be celebrated at the Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi in San Francisco.
5:00 PM, Students For Life Rally and Movie Screening will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco.
7:00 PM, Catholic Underground Adoration and Concert featuring Alanna-Marie Boudreau at St. Philip Neri Church in Alameda.
5:00 PM, BBQ and Holy Hour at Star of the Sea Parish in San Francisco.
Sunday, January 24:
9:30 AM, The 3rd Annual Students For Life of America West Coast National Conference will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
