MCCL Student Day at the Capitol

March 30, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm UTC+0

MCCL’s annual Student Day at the Capitol brings students to St. Paul for a day of pro-life education and political involvement!

The event, held this year on both Feb. 12 and March 30 (students pick one), is a unique opportunity for students in grades 7-12 to learn about and participate in the political process. The day begins with educational sessions that cover abortion, current pro-life legislation, and more. In the afternoon, most students are able to meet with their own legislators and lobby them to support pro-life legislation. The students may also tour the Capitol and hear from pro-life elected officials.

Kurt Daudt speaks at MCCL Student DayThe program starts at 9:30 a.m. each of the two days and runs until about 2 p.m. A nominal $10 donation includes lunch. You may register online at mccl.org/studentday or by contacting MCCL.

Students may attend individually, with a youth group, or as a class trip. A nominal $10.00 suggested donation per person covers the cost of lunch. If cost is an issue for students or schools, contact our office for alternative arrangements. MCCL will provide adult supervision, so parents do not need to stay for the program.
