Right to Life of Michigan Legislative Day. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about prolife legislation and enjoy lunch with state legislators. The guest speaker will be Mike Shirkey Majority Leader of the Michigan Senate Senator Mike Shirkey is serving his second term in the Michigan Senate serving the 16th Senate District which represents Branch, Hillsdale and Jackson counties. In January 2019, Senator Shirkey’s colleagues elected him to serve as the Senate Majority Leader. Prior to being elected to the Senate, he served four years in the Michigan House of Representatives.
