There was a Life & Death Struggle Taking Place on the Balcony, I asked Everyone to Prayer Field Notes from FPA Miramar Road, San Diego - Saturday, June 12, 2010 There were 20 prayer warriors, including several children, along with 5 sidewalk counselors who covered all 4 driveways into the large parking area. At about 7:30 am an older black car with a couple went right by Luis in the driveway, as he was distracted with something else. They parked in the lot for a couple of minutes. None of the nurses had arrived yet. Suddenly they drove toward the exit driveway and he stopped them. The couple looked to be in their early twenties. He gave them a brochure on Dr. Santella and went over the fact that his license had been previously suspended and he was put on probation twice for malpractice and negligence. The girl, who may have been in her late teens, looked very frightened when he gave them this information. He also told them about COLFS and gave them one of their cards. Luis asked the boyfriend, who was driving, if they were there for FPA. He hesitated, and then said that they were just "looking around". They left and did not return. Terry intercepted an Asian couple pulling in the western-most driveway. The man driving accepted the information on the abortionist's medical malpractice and probation history. He said very little in doing so, only "We are here". A sheet of driving directions to FPA was on her lap. They both listened and said little, but accepted the flier and a COLFS card, and then drove in, parked, and walked toward the mill. Roger, who was at another driveway, intercepted them at the stairs, and the man asked Roger, "So what is going on here?" Roger explained the history of the doctor, and that we were giving women information about the risks and side effects of having an abortion, so that women could make an informed decision. Roger asked if they were scheduled for an abortion, and they replied that they were only here for a pregnancy test. Roger asked them "So why are you coming here? This is an abortion clinic." Don't you have a regular OB/GYN?" The man said they didn't, and were referred here by their general practice doctor. Roger recommended that they go to COLFS for a competent exam, and that if they went into FPA, the staff would probably try to talk them into having an abortion, since that is the purpose of this clinic. The man said they had an appointment and had to go. Roger told them they didn't need to keep the appointment, and to just walk away. He shrugged off Roger's suggestion to leave, and the woman followed the man up the stairs and into the mill. Around 8:30, Marie stopped a couple in their mid- 20's,driving a large white pick-up truck. The driver was Caucasian and the woman in the passenger seat looked Hispanic. He said they were there for a "consultation", and looked like he had been crying. The woman didn't say anything the entire time. Marie showed them the pamphlet on the doctor's history of litigation and stressed that they should consider seeing another doctor. She handed them Dr. Delgado's card and encouraged them to call for an appointment. They drove in and went up the stairs to the mill. Terry intercepted two Caucasian girls who were angry and did not want to talk. So she handed one of the girls a flier on the abortionist's horrific history, outlining some of the more serious cases as well as license suspension. She let her know that there was help available for her, that whoever made her believe that this was the solution to her problem was wrong; that her problem and distress would change forever, and that the date of June 12 would never be the same for her. Terry asked her to take a few minutes to talk with her. The girls took everything, but drove in, parked, and went right into the mill. Neither looked older than nineteen. Later, Terry intercepted a Caucasian woman who came with her mother. The mother, who was driving, refused to talk, but turned over everything Terry handed her (including a COLFS' card) to her daughter in the passenger seat. She would not let Terry talk to her daughter as she hurriedly pulled in and parked in the eastern-most end of the parking lot. Terry could see the daughter reading the blue flier about the abortionist's litigation history. They sat in the car for about ten minutes and then, with the pamphlet still in her hand, went up the stairs to the mill. It appeared the mother who walked in front of the daughter was one who orchestrating this decision. It also appeared the daughter may have been a second trimester, as she was showing quite a bit. Marie stopped an Asian couple driving in a white Honda Accord who looked to be in their late 20's. She explained doctor's history, and the man appeared shocked and had a scared look the whole time she spoke with them. The girl seemed interested in speaking with a competent doctor and said they would call COLFS. They ended up going into the mill. Terry observed a young couple on the balcony over Metro Flooring (next to FPA) fighting. The young man appeared to be the one prodding his young girlfriend to go into the mill. Several times, she walked away from him. Several times he put his arms around her and she pushed him away. At one point, she sat down and wouldn't talk to him. He walked away, but came back. When she got up, she went to the railing facing Terry and looked as if she was on her cell phone. Terry prayed & continued to beckon the young girl towards her, but couldn't tell (from that distance) if this young girl had seen her. Terry alerted all the counselors and prayer warriors that there was a life & death struggle taking place on the balcony, and to pray. After about fifteen minutes, they both walked into the mill. Two minutes later, the girl came out again (she came out twice), but on the second time out, she sadly went back through the doors and disappeared. Terry laters poke to a young African-American male who told her he had just dropped off "his friend - not girlfriend" at the abortion mill. Terry gave this young man the pamphlet entitled "Klan Parenthood" explaining what it was all about. This young man, "D", read the entire pamphlet from cover to cover with Terry standing next to him talking to him while he did so. He said since it wasn't his girlfriend, he couldn't interfere with her decision. Terry said "your relationship with this friend is the same in the eyes of God, and to all the others who are fighting for civil rights in the lives of pre-born babies (giving him a picture of a six-week old pre-born baby). To this, he opened his eyes wide and said "I had no idea". Terry replied "and neither does your friend, but this little baby, this person, is the same as you and I, just smaller. He or she has a definite purpose just like Martin Luther King, Jr. did, and will be slaughtered unless you take a stand and let your friend know she doesn't have to do this; there's all the help she needs out here". "D" stared up at Terry for a few second before he said, "I wish I could. I will give her everything you gave me and look into blackgenocide.com on the web, but I have to go". Before he drove out, she handed him a blue rosary. Anne stopped a van with two young children, two women and a man. They were from the Calexico area. The woman in the back seat took over the conversation and said she had seven children. Anne told her as mothers, we could not imagine the thought of not having any of our children. She seemed very hardened and told Anne, "how boring" when Anne suggested that someone would adopt her baby. She agreed to read the literature and sadly she went in with "A", the other woman who was in the van. "A" came out about 30 minutes later. About mid-morning, Marie stopped a young couple in their 20's driving a lowered, maroon Honda at the main entrance. The man was Asian and the woman Caucasian. She went through the doctor's history of litigation and probation, and the couple listed with interest. The man started questioning if all of the cases on the brochure were true, and she told them that is was all public record, and they should consider seeing a competent doctor. Marie called COLFS for them, and handed the phone to "E", the woman, who spoke with Dot at COLFS. They drove into the drive way a little, and Marie stood back to give them some privacy. She soon noticed that the guy was on his phone and assumed he was talking to COLFS to get directions. What she later realized was that he was on the phone with a friend, spelling out the doctor's name and a website for the doctor's records. "E" finished her conversation and handed Marie's phone back to her. She asked "E" if she made an appointment, and she replied "Yes" and that it was on Monday. The man was still on the phone, and asked Marie who she was. She said she was a "volunteer". He said "With who?". She said "Helpers of God's Precious Infants". He repeated it into his phone and they drove off. A few minutes later, Marie stopped another couple at the main entrance driving an SUV. The driver was an Asian, the woman Caucasion, and both looked to be in their early 30's. The woman was smoking a cigarette and seemed interested in what Marie was saying. They were both shocked at the doctor's history, and Marie told them that the doctor/clinic was only in it for the money and didn't care about her body or her future. She suggested they speak with a competent doctor and that she could get them on the phone and make an appointment. Marie contacted COLFS and passed her phone over to "M". The first thing out of "M"s mouth was, "Yeah, I'd like to schedule an abortion." While the man was thanking Marie for being there, she overheard "M" say she was around 12 weeks pregnant. She was saying they it's hard to get off work, and she can't take anymore time off. Marie kept telling them they shouldn't go up there, and the man said "I don't think we will". "M" got off the phone and shared that she had an appointment on Monday. A little before 11am when we were leaving, Marie noticed the the white pick-up truck she had stopped earlier that morning was still in the parking lot. The man was lying down inside. She went up and handed him a Rachel's Hope pamphlet for post-abortive healing. He said she had already handed him one, and Marie said "Not this one...". Please pray for all of these women.
