In that instant, the Holy Spirit crushed my heart at the display of my daughters’ Christ-likeness. My resistance crumbled. “Okay, they can stay,” I conceded. Four years later and I am proud to call these two young men my sons. Full Article
Adoption and the Destruction of Biological Children
It is hard. I’ll not sugar-coat that truth. We’ve been stolen from, lied to, threatened even. We’ve shed tears, grieved, been frustrated. It’s no fairy tale. Happily ever after seems like a pipe dream on occasion.
My oldest son, adopted at 16 from Memphis and deeply immersed in affliction to this day, testifies to this fact. In fostering and adopting, you immerse yourself into the misery of the human condition.
You reach deep into the cesspool of human sin and select one, or many, to rescue from their plight…just like Christ did for you, if you are a believer.
Adoption has destroyed me. More appropriately, the Lord destroyed me, the old me, and made me a new creation in Christ. He did the same with my family, rearranging the entire order of our existence. Adoption is but a natural out-pouring of that newness.
In 2015, 52,000 Americans died of overdoses, four times the gun homicide rate and 50 per cent more than died in car accidents. In Rhode Island, 2 per cent of the population (20,000 people) are estimated by one epidemiologist to be opioid addicts. Full Article
the decline in US life expectancy
To put the current epidemic of deaths into perspective, the Nixon White House panicked when heroin-addicted soldiers back from Vietnam brought the overdose death rate to 1.5 per 100,000 in 1973-1975. The crack epidemic of the mid to late 1980s reached a death rate of 2 per 100,000 and George H. W. Bush declared war on drugs. The current opioid death rate is 10.3 per 100,000 without the fentanyl statistics of 2016 counted yet. In New Hampshire the rate is 30 per 100,000 and in West Virginia it is over 40 per 100,000. This is a large reason why the life expectancy of middle-aged white people is falling. Why Bill Clinton said during last year’s campaign that poor white people were dying of “a broken heart” and why heroin is “a symbol of both working-class depravity and ruling-class neglect—an explosive combination in today’s political climate”.
It was not wrong for President Trump to describe the drug epidemic in his inaugural address as “carnage”. For drug companies opioids were lucrative opportunities.

‘Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer’
I have had a profound sense of the presence of evil in the actions of Gosnell and his staff and their complete lack of conscience. Most disturbing of all is the banality of the evil; in the clinic they joked and laughed amidst the carnage. This story can change hearts and minds; it has mine.
The jurors had to listen to the stories of the lives and deaths of Baby Boy A Abrams (29.4 weeks), whose photograph is on the Internet; Baby Boy B (twenty-eight weeks), whose frozen remains were found in the clinic—the medical examiner’s photograph of him with his neck slit is online—Baby C, who breathed for twenty minutes before Lynda Williams “snipped” his life; Baby D, who was delivered in a toilet and tried to swim to safety before Adrienne Moton slit his windpipe; Baby E, who cried before Dr. Gosnell cut his neck; and Baby F, who moved his leg up to his chest before he was killed. They saw pictures of the forty-seven dead babies discovered at the clinic the night of the raid, their remains stuffed into old milk cartons and kitty litter containers.
These babies sent Gosnell to prison. But more than that, they are the most eloquent evidence we have ever had of the reality of abortion.
In the United States, a child is murdered by his own parents on average twice per minute, every minute of every day. These murders are freely committed under the covering of “law” in a nation that boasts millions upon millions of professing Christians and “enlightened” progressives who claim to be champions of “human rights.” Full Article
Abolish Human Abortion
Even those who claim to be opposed to the legalized slaughter of pre-born children have by and large taken no meaningful or adequate action against it. While there are many so-called “pro-lifers” who desire to see abortion abolished, the pro-life movement as a whole has not sought its abolition, but rather has spent the last forty-four years attempting to regulate legalized child sacrifice within the accepted paradigm “choice.”
We have begun to feel the crushing weight of our culture’s compromising indifference and the neglect of justice and mercy which has allowed the mass murder of children to continue unchecked in our communities, down the street from our churches. In the midst of an ongoing holocaust, we have come to see the pathetic inadequacy of defunding Planned Parenthood—the ludicrous wickedness of calling for “safer” clinics with wider hallways and ambulatory services—and the faithless blasphemy of legislating the circumstances, criteria, and compromises under which the brutal murder of our littlest neighbors may be committed.
We see that abortion is not a moral dilemma, political issue, or philosophical debate—it is the evil of our age. It is our national sin. And God will not bless a nation that destroys its children.
Two weeks ago, the WA State Supreme Court handed down a ruling saying that florist Barronelle Stutzman broke the law when she refused to work at a gay wedding. Full Article
Though she had sold them flowers many times before, Mrs. Stutzman declined to work the wedding ceremony for the gay couple, and encouraged them to buy from one of her competitors that didn’t share her convictions.
Florist Barronelle Stutzman, Gay Marriage
She essentially asked herself, “How can I participate in an event that is celebrating something that contradicts God’s design?” Based on everything I can find in the Bible, God recognizes only one relationship as marriage. And to call something marriage, when God says it’s not….well, it’s easy to see why a Christian would decline to participate in that ceremony.
Our first commandment is to love God. We might tell Him, “I know what Your design for marriage is, but I really want it to be something else.” But to do so is unloving. It is unloving toward God when we don’t respect, or try to alter what He has designed. Those that say not going to the ceremony is unloving may be forgetting the order of the two great commandments. Again, our first commandment is to love God.
There are many valuable relationships in life. Parents with children, grandparents and grandchildren, friends, co-workers, teammates and yes, same-sex relationships. God has given us a wide diversity of wonderful relationships. Only one is marriage, but there are many others besides.
Kellogg Co. is pulling its ads from the website Breitbart News, “to ensure our ads do not appear on sites that aren’t aligned with our values as a company,” said Kris Charles, a spokeswoman for Kellogg.
In response, Breitbart Editor-In-Chief Alexander Marlow issued a statement encouraging Breitbart’s 45 million monthly readers to boycott Kellogg’s products.

“For Kellogg’s, an American brand, to blacklist Breitbart News in order to placate left-wing totalitarians is a disgraceful act of cowardice,” Marlow said on Breitbart.com. “They insult our incredibly diverse staff and spit in the face of our 45,000,000 highly engaged, highly perceptive, highly loyal readers, many of whom are Kellogg’s customers.”
As of Thursday morning, over 100,000 people had signed a petition pledging to join Breitbart’s “movement against Kellogg’s bigotry.” On social media, many used the hashtag #BoycottKelloggs to support the news organization, while others slammed it.
Not all brands are shying away. With a Nissan ad on the website, the automaker said in a statement that it “places ads in a variety of sites in order to reach as many consumers as possible.”

Norma McCorvey, who first became known as “Jane Roe” in the infamous abortion case Roe v. Wade, became a pro-life champion as she dedicated her life to overturning the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in Roe v. Wade, the 1970 abortion case filed on her behalf to overturn the nation’s abortion laws. Supporting Article
Prolife heroine Norma McCorvey
We always note that the pro-life cause is a movement of converts — and there are few conversions that were so surprising as that of Norma McCorvey, who died today at the age of 69. Norma McCorvey was the woman at the center of Roe v. Wade, the case that made abortion legal in the United States. She was “Roe” — the anonymous woman who sued the state of Texas, which would not permit her to have an abortion.
Following the infamous Supreme Court ruling in her case, she lived a troubled life and ended up in the abortion industry. But it was while she was working at an abortion center that she experienced her conversion. Not only did she become a Christian, but she rejected abortion advocacy and became pro-life. Last week we heard from the girlfriend of a 31-year-old man who suffered lack of oxygen after a heart attack. Full Article
Just 24 hours after the incident, the hospital met with the family and pressured them to donate the young man’s organs. When the family objected, wanting to give their loved one more time to recover, the hospital told them their decision was “selfish.”
Forced Death at Hospitals Killing People with certain Disabilities
Since then, the young man has become increasingly responsive. His CAT scan and EEG clearly show brain activity. When the hospital discusses his “quality of life” and terminating his care—i.e., starving and dehydrating him to death—the man becomes agitated.
We are fighting to make sure he continues to receive appropriate care, including food and water.
